Barbara Chesterton

Barbara Chesterton (née Wright) was an English woman who taught history at the Coal Hill School during the early 1960s. After travelling with the Time Lord known as the Doctor, she married colleague Ian Chesterton and found employment as a professor at Cambridge University.

Later life

By 2010, Ian and Barbara had married and were both professors in Cambridge. According to Sarah Jane Smith, they were rumoured not to have aged since the 1960s. (SJA: "Death of the Doctor")

By Spring 2016, the renovated Coal Hill Academy was the site of the Barbara Wright Building. (Class: "For Tonight We May Die", "The Coach with the Dragon Tattoo" et al)
